Off-Grid AI is an offline, device-bound knowledge system. It does not collect your queries. It does not call home. It does not require an account. When it is running, it has no connection to the internet and no ability to transmit anything.
This policy explains how the surrounding infrastructure — the website, the purchase process, and optional updates — handles data. None of that infrastructure has any visibility into your queries or the answers the system produces.

02 What Off-Grid AI Does Not Do
These are architectural facts, not promises. They are enforced by how the system is built:
◆ The runtime does not make internet connections while answering queries.
◆ No query you submit to the local interface is transmitted to any server.
◆ No answer the system produces is logged, stored, or transmitted externally.
◆ The system does not require user accounts, email addresses, or personal identifiers to operate.
◆ No telemetry, usage analytics, or behavioral data is collected by the runtime.
◆ The knowledge corpus is immutable and pre-loaded. It does not receive live data and does not report outbound.
Off-Grid AI is designed to function in grid-down conditions with zero internet dependency. This is not a marketing claim — it is a system requirement.
03 Cookies & Website Tracking
The Off-Grid AI website (offgridai.io) is hosted on the Shopify platform. Like most e-commerce platforms, Shopify places cookies in your browser to support site functionality, cart persistence, fraud prevention, and analytics. These cookies are limited to the website and have no relationship to the product runtime.
Types of Cookies Used
◆ Essential cookies — Required for the site to function (cart, checkout session, security tokens). Cannot be disabled without breaking core site functions.
◆ Analytics cookies — Used to understand site traffic and usage patterns. Data is aggregated and not personally identifying.
◆ Preference cookies — Store settings such as language or region if applicable.
Most browsers allow you to manage or disable cookies in your settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent checkout from functioning.
04 Website Analytics
When you visit offgridai.io, standard web infrastructure automatically collects:

◆ Items added to cart or abandoned
This data is used solely to maintain and improve the website. It is not linked to product usage and does not identify you personally.
05 Purchase & Order Data
If you purchase Off-Grid AI through our website or a connected storefront, we collect the information necessary to complete that transaction:
◆ Name and billing/shipping address
◆ Email address and phone number
◆ Order details and purchase history
◆ Payment confirmation (see Section 6 for card data handling)
This data is used to fulfill and ship your order, communicate order status and support, and comply with applicable legal and tax requirements. We do not sell, rent, or trade your purchase data to third parties. We may share it with trusted service providers — shipping carriers, payment processors — strictly as required to fulfill your order.
06 Payment Processing
Payment card data is processed by Shopify Payments and its underlying processors (which may include Stripe). Mountain Ready does not store, transmit, or have access to full payment card numbers. All payment data is handled by PCI-DSS-compliant processors under their own privacy and security obligations.

07 Optional Updates & Downloads
Off-Grid AI supports optional, user-initiated knowledge updates when an internet connection is available. These updates are:
◆ Never automatic — you must explicitly initiate a check
◆ Cryptographically signed and verified before installation
◆ Delivered as sealed, versioned packages from offgridai.io
During an update check, your device sends a version identifier to our update server to determine whether a newer package is available. No query history, usage data, or personal information is transmitted. No background services run between updates.
Offline updates via USB transfer are also supported and involve no internet communication at any stage.
08 Expansion Packs
Expansion Packs (Medical, Automotive, Electrical, Tactical Ops, and future modules) are downloaded and installed locally. Once installed, they function entirely offline under the same privacy architecture as the Core Brain. No pack transmits data during operation. Purchases of Expansion Packs are subject to the same order data handling described in Section 5.
09 Email & SMS Communications
Marketing Communications
If you opt in to email or SMS communications from Mountain Ready or Off-Grid AI, you consent to receive product updates, preparedness content, and promotional offers. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

◆ To opt out of SMS: reply STOP to any text message.
◆ For assistance: reply HELP to any text message.
◆ To request full removal: email privacy@offgridai.io.
Message and data rates may apply. We do not share or sell SMS opt-in data with third parties.
Transactional Communications
Order confirmations, shipping notifications, and support responses are sent regardless of marketing preferences. These are required for order fulfillment and cannot be opted out of while a transaction is active.
10 Children's Privacy
Off-Grid AI does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age. The product is intended for adults. If you believe a minor has provided personal data through our website or purchase process, contact us at privacy@offgridai.io and we will promptly remove it.
11 Data Security
Mountain Ready uses industry-standard security practices to protect purchase and account data transmitted through our website and payment systems, including TLS encryption for data in transit.
The Off-Grid AI runtime stores all knowledge locally in a read-only, cryptographically signed partition. Knowledge files are signed with a private key and verified on every launch. There is no cloud-accessible copy of your local knowledge index.
12 Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to external resources, including Mountain Ready's main storefront and partner sites. Mountain Ready is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites. Review their policies independently before submitting personal information.
13 Legal Disclosure
Mountain Ready may disclose personal information when required by law, including in response to valid subpoenas, court orders, or government requests. We may also disclose information to prevent fraud, protect the security of our systems, or enforce our Terms of Service. We do not voluntarily disclose customer data beyond what is required to fulfill transactions or comply with legal obligations.
14 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with the following rights regarding personal information we collect:
◆ Right to Know — You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
◆ Right to Delete — You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.

15 Your Rights
Regardless of your jurisdiction, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you in connection with your purchase or communications preferences.

16 Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Policy shall be resolved in the courts of Oconee County, South Carolina, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
17 Policy Updates
Mountain Ready may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted to offgridai.io with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website or product following a material change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
